House Fire in the Kashmere Gardens Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from the eaves of a one-story home. They began an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Crews also protected the nearby homes from fire damage. The homeowner had left food cooking unattended and was alerted by a smoke alarm to the fire. She was advised to contact an electrician insure her home was safe before turning the power back on. A pet dog was found on a couch, however attempts to revive it were unsuccessful. Firefighters from Stations 30, 34, 19, 12 and 39 responded to this incident.
