House Fire in The Independence Heights Area

Several reported injuries, one citizen pronounced deceased on the scene.

The cause is under investigation

Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire and smoke coming from a 1-story home. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was quickly controlled and several were found with various injuries, including one individual who was pronounced deceased on the scene . HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. HPD was also contacted to investigate. Crews from Stations 31, 15, 34, 62, Heavy Rescue 11, 8, Rehab, 24 and 30 responded to this incident.
