House Fire in The Greater Third Ward

The cause was ruled incendiary by HFD Arson investigators
|
|
|
Firefighters arrived on scene to find what appeared to be a vacant 1-story home on fire and forced entry. Upon entering the home they encountered high heat and low visibility. The conditions worsened and they pulled out of the home. The roof was vented and conditions inside improved. Crews were able to complete the interior attack and conduct a primary search. Firefighters also worked to protect nearby structures and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 8, 7, 16, 25 and 30 responded to this incident.
