House Fire in The Greater Inwood Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a 1-story home and began an offensive attack on the fire. A primary search was completed and the fire was knocked down. Crews checked for extension and vented out the home and conducted overhaul. The home owner reported having problems with an A/C unit and seeing smoke and fire coming from the area of the unit. Crews determined that the fire appeared to have started in the A/C closet and extend into the hallway and attic area. One citizen was transported to the hospital for for medical concerns not related to the fire. Firefighters from Stations 4, 13, 50 and 67 responded to this incident.
