House Fire in The Clear Lake Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from the roof of a house. Once inside the home, crews found fire coming from an exhaust fan over a stove extending into the cabinets. They extinguished the fire and found no extension. A primary search was completed and the incident was declared under control. The power was turned off and firefighters worked to clear the smoke. The resident was advised to isolate the breaker for the exhaust fan and the wiring for that circuit until a qualified electrician could check on it. Crews from Stations 20, 46, 71, 72, 94 and 24 responded to this incident.
