House Fire in the Brays Oaks Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small amount of smoke coming from underneath a 1-story home. The crews investigated and found a gas space heater that had been in use with the smoke strongest beneath the heater. It was determined that the space heater had ignited the floor and wooden truss beneath it. The fire had most likely been smoldering for an unknown amount of time. Firefighters extinguished the fire and returned to service. Crews from Stations 59, 68, 48, 51, 82 and 10 responded to this incident.
