House Fire in The Acres Home Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke and fire coming from windows of a home. They entered the home and were able to extinguish the fire in the bedroom of origin. Vertical ventilation was not possible due to the unstable roof. A primary and secondary search was completed and a resident was evaluated on scene by HFD EMS crews. The fire had began from the electrical plug were an air-conditioning unit was plugged in. Crews conducted salvage and overhaul and the power company disconnected the power to the home. Firefighters from Stations 15, 4, 31, 58 and 67 responded to this incident.
