House Fire in Northshore Area

12800 block of Joliet St, 77015
INJURIES:
No reported injuries
PROPERTY SAVED:
Firefighters protected nearby structures from damage.
DAMAGE:
$155 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
The cause was ruled as incendiary by HFD Arson investigators
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy smoke and fire coming from the side of a home. They began a defensive attack on the fire and worked to protect nearby structures from damage. Once the fire was knocked down, the crews attempted to make an interior attack, however conditions worsened and moved back outside the home. The fire was extinguished and the hotspots inside the home were put out. The residents were given  American Red Cross information to contact for assistance and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 45, 27, 41, 42, 44, 53, 15, 30 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
