House Fire in Magnolia Park Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with no smoke or fire coming from a home. The occupant opened the door and the crews found smoke inside the home with flames visible from the kitchen area. Firefighters extinguished the small kitchen fire and removed the food from the stove. They searched the home and removed multiple pets. The crews also removed ceiling to check for fire extension and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. The occupant stated he had been cooking and feel asleep. Firefighters from Stations 17, 18 and 20 responded to this incident.
