HFD arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary
|
|
Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the garage area of a vacant 2-story house. The fire was spreading towards the middle of the structure with the garage fully involved. The home was vacant with no power. Crews began an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The fire was extinguished and the owners arrived on scene. Crews from Stations 46, 18, 25, 55 and 24 responded to this incident.
Firefighters responded to another fire at this location the next morning, May 18, 2019 at 6:07 a.m. A small fire was found in the roof section of the garage. Crews extinguished it and additional hot spots. Smoldering embers appeared to be the cause of this re-kindle fire.
