House Fire in Independence Heights Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy smoke and fire coming from a boarded up house. Crews began an attack on the fire and due to the conditions went into defensive mode. Once the fire was knocked down, crews conducted a search of the first floor but were only able to use ladders to check the windows of the second floor due to previous fire damage. A secondary search was conducted of both floors after the fire was out. Crews from Stations 15, 6, 30, 31, 58, 6 and Rehab responded to this incident.
