House Fire in Greater Inwood Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with fire coming from a single-story vacant home which was boarded up and under renovation. They began an attack on the fire and attempted to ventilate the roof, however the fire broke through the roof before they were able to do so. They forced entry into the home and performed a primary search. The fire was extinguished and it was determined that it was caused by an electrical short. Crews from Stations 15, 5, 4, 13, 50, 58, 67 and 30 responded to this incident.
