House Fire in Greater Greenspoint Area of North Houston

Firefighters prevented the spread of the fire into the home and attic.

|
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from an attached garage of a 1-story home. They forced entry into the garage and initiated a primary search. All occupants were accounted for outside. Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the home or attic. Once the fire was extinguished, crews performed an overhaul of the burned area and the cause of the fire was determined to be an extension cord plugged into a fan. The cord had bulk storage piled on it causing a fire. Firefighters from Stations 84, 31, 34, 58, 64, 67, and 30 responded to this incident.
