House Fire in Greater Fifth Ward Area of Northeast Houston

Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the side of a small one-story home. All of the occupants had safely escaped and were examined by HFD EMS. Witnesses said they saw fire coming from the power feed from the electrical line into the house which was arcing upon HFDs arrival. The American Red Cross was notified and salvage and overhaul operations were performed. Crews from Stations 7, 8, 9, 12, 15, 18, 19 27 and 30 responded to this incident.
