PROPERTY SAVED:
$140 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$30 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
Failure of equipment or heat source
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from a one-story home and began an offensive attack on the fire through the front door. Everyone had safely made it outside the home. The fire was extinguished and the home was ventilated. The fire started in a bathroom and contained to the bathroom. The owner was advised to have a certified electrician check the house before turning the electricity back on. Firefighters also made sure the family had a place to stay. Crews from Stations 52, 26, 29 and 36 responded to this incident.
