House Fire in East Houston Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from a bedroom of a 1-story home. They began an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was tapped out in about 15 minutes and had originated on a mattress and spread to the walls and ceiling. The occupant had been alerted by a smoke detector to the fire. Crews from Stations 34, 45, 43, 56 and 32 responded to this incident.
