Firefighters arrived on scene and found light smoke in the attic of a house. An outside drop electrical had shorted together on the power company’s side and caused the house to be electrically charged. Heated wiring in contact with the exterior siding and attic rafters began to smolder. Firefighters extinguished the hotspots and conducted salvage and overhaul. The power was cut to the home and the meter was pulled. The occupants were advised to contact a certified electrician. Crews from Stations 59 and 80 responded to this incident.
