House Fire in Central Northwest Area

Unintentional - discarded cigarette
|
|
|
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a one-story home. They quickly located the fire and extinguished it before it would spread to the attic or other rooms. A primary search was completed and after speaking with the occupant it was determined that a discarded cigarette was the cause. The occupant was advised to have an electrician inspect the wiring before turning the power back on. The occupant did not require assistance from the American Red Cross. Crews from Stations 13, 4, 5, 50, 31 and 30 responded to this incident.
