Firefighters arrived on scene with no smoke or fire visible. When they opened the front door of the home, they encountered black smoke and located one civilian inside. They removed the individual from the home and he became alert. He was transported to the hospital by waiting EMS crews. The fire was controlled and the primary search was completed. Crews from Stations 82, 2, 59, 68, 48, 59, 68 and 73 responded to this incident.
