Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from a 1-story home. A small smoldering fire was found in the kitchen area. Firefighters extinguished the fire that was in the walls and cabinets. They removed part of the walls, ceiling and particle board until no more smoldering embers or heat sources could be detected. Electricity was shut off to the entire home and the occupants were advised to have a certified electrician inspect the home before turning the power back on. Crews from Stations 76, 68, 83, 10 and 73 responded to this incident.
