House Fire in Acres Home Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with some coming from a one-story house and made an interior attack on the fire. They ventilated the roof, conducted a primary search and secured the utilities. A fire was found and extinguished in the attic. Crews then conducted salvage and overhaul of the home. The owner stated he awoken by the smell of smoke and saw flames coming from an electrical outlet. After he attempted to extinguish it and determined the fire had spread, he exited his home and called 9-1-1. Firefighters from Stations 15, 13, 31, 67, 58 and 30 responded to this incident.
