House Fire and Explosion in Second Ward of Houston

The cause is under investigation by HFD Arson investigators

Firefighters arrived on scene with a one-story brick home that had suffered from an obvious explosion. There was a small fire inside the home with the roof and exterior walls blown away from the structure. The fire was quickly extinguished and a search was completed in and around the structure with no victims found. HFD Arson was requested to determine the cause. Firefighters from Stations 20, 18, 17 and 42 responded to this incident.
