Firefighters Rescue Person from Apartment Fire in Northwest Houston               
WHEN:
Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 12:37 a.m.
WHERE:
10580 Hammerly Blvd., Houston Texas  77043
INJURIES:
Smoke inhalation      
DAMAGE:
Estimated $15000 in structural damage.
CAUSE:
The fire damage indicated that the fire originated on the stove. 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived to a 2-story apartment fire with light smoke showing from the second floor. Initial responding units began an offensive attack on the fire and an immediate search of the structure for possible victims.  Firefighters found one resident in a back bedroom of the apartment unit.  The person found was rescued and treated for minor smoke inhalation.  No others were found.  The fire was extinguished and checked for possible extension.  This incident was deemed controlled and tapped out at 12:48 a.m.  10 units responded to this incident.
