Fire Chief Peña and HFD Crews to Participate in National Night Out Events
Tonight, October 1, 2019, neighborhoods across the City will be hosting block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events and visits from emergency personnel, including more than 25 scheduled HFD fire truck visits and community interaction events.

Fire Chief Samuel Pena will also be participating in several major community events tonight in the Gulfton, Meadowbrook  and South MacGregor areas.
  • Gulfton National Night Out at Burnett Bayland Park, 6000 Chimney Rock Rd
  • Meadowbrook Civic Club at Glen Park, 8201 North Bayou 
  • South MacGregor Civic Club at 3502 S. MacGregor Way 
“Making Houston safer is a joint effort between Fire and Police departments and the Neighborhoods we serve," says Chief Pena. "National Night Out is our chance to step outside our home and come together to celebrate our efforts and continue building the relationships that make us a better and safer city.”
