Fast Food Restaurant Fire in Near Northside Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find moderate smoke coming from the cooking vent of a fast food restaurant. Upon investigation, a fire was found in the commercial vent hood above the fryer. The fire was contained to the vent hood plume and crews extinguished it from the rooftop vent and attack area. A City Food Inspector was notified to respond. Firefighters from Stations 6, 19, 9, 12, 15 and 30 responded to this incident.
