Duplex Fire in Greater OST / South Union Area

Duplex Fire
WHEN:

3800 block of Lydia St, 77021
INJURIES:
No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED:
More than $83 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$7 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy smoke and fire coming from the sides of a one-story duplex. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Firefighters also worked to protect nearby structures from the fire. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. After the investigators were done, crews conducted salvage and overhaul. Firefighters from Stations 46, 16, 23, 21, 26, 24, 25, 35, 55, 37 and Rehab responded to this incident.
