Business Office Fire in Neartown – Montrose Area
WHAT:
Business Building Fire
WHEN:
October 14, 2018 at 6:27 a.m.
WHERE:
1210 West Clay St, 77019
INJURIES:
No reported injuries
PROPERTY SAVED:
More than $5 million in property saved.
DAMAGE:
$130 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE:
HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a side of the structure. The smoke soon turned to fire. They began an attack on the fire and ventilated the roof. The fire was knocked down quickly and a search was completed to ensure there were no victims inside. Crews from Stations 15, 6, 8, 7, 11, 16 and 30 responded to this incident.
