The crews of Engine and Ambulance 52 arrived on scene to find a small fire in a nail salon and forced entry through the front door. They extinguished the fire quickly with a water can. An exhaust fan had shorted out in the ceiling and pieces of the ceiling tile fell to the floor causing a small fire. The firefighters secured the power to the building and the crew of Ladder 61 set up a fan to ventilate the smoke. The owner was advised to leave the power off until an electrician could replace the fan and check the wiring.
