PROPERTY SAVED:
$150 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$50 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
Unintentional – Electrical Failure, malfunction
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the second floor of an electrical room in a mechanical building attached to chiller units at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The electric company shut the power off and the crews used dry chemical extinguishers to put out the fire. Firefighters ventilated the building and turned it back over to the employees. Crews from Stations 8, 7 and 17 responded to this incident.
