Barn Fire in The El Dorado / Oates Prairie Area

Firefighters arrived on scene and found a barn structure totally involved in fire. They established a defensive attack and worked to establish a water supply with the nearest fire hydrant a fair distance down a dirt road. Personnel were used to direct units down the road due to the soft soil which created limited working clearance for the units. A mutual aid water tanker was requested from the Sheldon Fire Department and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Houston Public Works crews removed tin and wood debris as well as deceased animals. Crews from Stations 20, 27, 41, 44, 45, and 32 responded to this incident.
