DAMAGE:
$5 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE:
Unintentional
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from multiple openings of a bakery building. They began an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Two large baking ovens were found to be burning and were extinguished without difficulty. There was no fire extensive beyond the oven area. Power was shut down to the ovens and fans were used to clear the smoke from the building. The manager was advised to keep the ovens off until they could be inspected. A health inspector was also notified. Crews from Stations 7, 8, 16 and 25 responded to this incident.
