HFD Arson Arrest in Connection with Northeast Houston House Fire
WHAT:
Houston Fire Department Arson arrest in connection with northeast Houston house fire with person trapped.
WHEN:
Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:07 p.m.
WHERE:
6700 block of Leedale St., Houston TX 77016
INJURIES:
One burn victim, transported to the hospital.
DAMAGE:
Estimated $100,000.00
CAUSE:
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Crews arrived to heavy smoke and fire and also had to negotiate a very difficult scene with neighborhood residents in the hot zone impeding the efforts of firefighters. The Incident Commander called for HPD to control the neighborhood residents while performing both primary and secondary searches.
One victim was rescued, a black male and approximately 40-year-old. CPR was initiated at the emergency scene. The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His pulse was restored in route and he was transferred to ER staff in critical condition.
Charges have been filed against one suspect for arson - Laadlia Andrea Williams.
