Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the side of a one-story laundry room between two apartment buildings. They forced entry into the laundry room and extinguished a fire that appeared to have started from a hot smoldering object placed in a plastic trash can. There was also damage to the residential mailboxes. Crews from Stations 73, 68, 48, 51 and 82 responded to this incident.
