PROPERTY SAVED:
$365 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$45 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
The cause is under investigation by HFD Arson investigators
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from an apartment building. Heavy fire was reported on a second floor with one unit totally involved with fire. They began an attack on the fire and searches found no one inside. The fire was declared under control and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The utilities were secured and the power was cut to the entire building (8 units) due to the damage. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced families. Crews from Stations 10, 68, 82, 2, 21, 28, 48, 51, 69, 73,and 76 responded to this incident. HPD also responded for traffic and crowd control.
