Firefighters prevented spread of the fire to the apartments.

Unintentional – cutting, welding too close to combustible

|
Firefighters from Station 83 arrived on scene with light smoke coming from an apartment building. A small fire was found coming from the outside wall next to a metal railing. They knocked the fire down and checked for extension inside of the unit. There was no fire extension. Maintenance personal had been welding the rail to the wall.
