Apartment Fire in Westchase Area of Houston
WHAT:
Apartment Fire
WHEN:

PROPERTY SAVED:
$4,870,000 in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$280 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
The cause was ruled as accidental by HFD Arson investigators.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene with fire coming from the roof of a 3-story apartment building. Fire was found on the exterior of the building on all three floors. Crews began an offensive attack on the fire and conducted a primary search of the affected apartments.

Once the fire was controlled, salvage was performed and HFD Arson investigators were requested to helped determine the cause.

Approximately 19 units were damaged by fire, smoke and/or water damage. Building management was on scene and reported that they could relocate the displaced residents to units elsewhere in the complex. Firefighters from Stations 83, 10, 68, 51, and 73 responded to this incident.
