Apartment Fire in The Trinity / Houston Gardens Area
WHAT:
Apartment Fire
WHEN:
September 25, 2019 at 3:36 a.m.

INJURIES:
One citizen treated on scene for smoke inhalation
PROPERTY SAVED:
$400 thousand in estimated property saved
DAMAGE:
$80 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a second floor apartment unit. They began an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. There were reports of a trapped victim, however no one was found. Fire was found in the attic and extended to the side of the building. The fire was brought under control after the crews gained attic access.  HFD Arson investigator were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 39, 30, 15, 19, 34, 12 and 43 responded to this incident.
