Apartment Fire in The Mid West Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire in the kitchen of an apartment unit and extinguished it was a water can. They checked for extension and conducted a primary search. The home owner had been cooking and returned to find the pot on fire. The fire extended to the nearby microwave and cabinets. There was no sign of extension and crews ventilated the unit. Firefighters from Stations 28, 83, 69, 57 and the Village Fire Department responded to this incident.
