Apartment Fire in The Gulfton Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the first floor of a 2-story apartment building. They made entry and extinguished the fire. A primary search was completed and crews checked for extension on the second floor. The door to the apartment unit was unlocked and the owner had not been home for several days. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire and HPD was requested for suspected breaking and entering. Crews from Stations 68, 10, 73 and 51 responded to this incident.
