Apartment Fire in The Greater Uptown Area

Firefighters arrived on scene and found smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story apartment building. They began an offensive attack and checked for extension. A primary search was conducted, and property conservation was done. The fire was in an A/C unit in the ceiling inside an apartment unit. The fire was extinguished, and the scene was turned over to apartment maintenance. Crews from Stations 2, 5, 28, 38, 69, 60, 57 and the Village Fire Department responded to this incident.
