Apartment Fire in The Greater Greenspoint Area

Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from a first floor apartment unit in a 2-story apartment building. The fire was extending to the second floor and adjacent apartment. Crews quickly stopped the spread of the fire and extinguished the main fire. A primary search found three small dogs in a kennel. Unfortunately, firefighters were not able to revive them. It was determined that an occupant had left food cooking on the stove. The occupants were moved to other units in the complex with assistance of the American Red Cross. Crews from Stations 15, 31, 64, 63, 67, 84 and 8 responded to this incident.
