Apartment Fire in The Greater Greenspoint Area

The cause was ruled as accidental by HFD Arson investigators
|

|
Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy smoke coming from a second story apartment. The door was open and the fire had extended onto the balcony. Crews worked to extinguish the fire and tapped it out within about 30 minutes. No extension was found to nearby units and a primary search was completed. The utilities were secured and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The building also appeared to be under renovation but was still occupied by residents. Crews from Stations 15, 31, 64, 4, 58, 67, 74, 84 and 8 responded to this incident.
