Firefighters from Station 38 arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from an open door a of 2 story apartment. They found a small fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguished it.. Firefighters conducted overhaul to ensure the fire did not travel into the walls or ceiling. The occupant had reported the stove had sparked and malfunction prior to the fire which was caused by an electrical malfunction of the stove.
