The cause of the fire was deemed unintentional.

Details: Firefighters arrived on scene of a reported apartment fire to find heavy smoke coming from the second story of the structure. The fire was deemed under control and tapped out at 4:34 p.m. When crews searched the unit they found food on the stove left unattended. The fire was confined to the kitchen and dining room area. No injuries were reported. 6 HFD units responded to this incident.
