The cause is under investigation by HFD Arson investigators.

Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from the side of a first-floor unit in a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack and primary search. HPD assisted with traffic control. The fire was extinguished without incident with no extension found. One civilian was rescued and transported to a local hospital. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 25, 40, 23, 26, 7, 18, 46, 24 and 33 responded to this incident.
