Apartment Fire in Gulfton Area of Southwest Houston
WHAT:
Apartment Fire
WHEN:
August 5, 2018 at 6:56 a.m.
WHERE:
6120 Bellaire Blvd, 77081
INJURIES:
No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED:
Fire contained to the unit of origin.
DAMAGE:
$40 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE:
The cause was ruled as incendiary by HFD Arson investigators.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene with fire and smoke coming from a first-floor vacant apartment unit. Crews began an offensive attack on the fire and conducted searches of the apartment building. No extension was found beyond the apartment of origin.  Firefighters from Stations 28, 51, 68, 37, 60, and 10 responded to this incident.
