Firefighters arrived on scene with the occupants exiting the apartment building with the building in alarm. A second alarm was requested for a working fire. The was controlled within 30 minutes and firefighters checked for extension in the floor above and below the unit. Property conservation was preformed and an inspector was requested due to the sprinkler system not activating. Firefighters from Stations 2, 3, 6, 8, 16, 28, 33 and 51 responded to this incident.
