$400 thousand in estimated damage
CAUSE:
HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause of this fire as incendiary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
While in their fire station, the crews of Station 46 heard and felt a large explosion and found the nearby apartments on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found building material scattered in the parking lot with one unconscious victim. Heavy fire and smoke was coming from the apartment building. A second alarm was requested and the fire was declared under control just after 11 p.m. Firefighters from Stations 7, 8, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 33, 35, 37, 40, 46, 47, 55, Rescue 42 and Heavy Rescue 11 responded to this incident.
