Apartment Fire in Greater Greenspoint Area

The cause was ruled as accidental by HFD Arson investigators.

Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from the first and second floor of an apartment building. They began an offensive attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. After proceeding to the second floor the attack on the fire was changed to defensive mode and a second alarm was requested.
The fire was tapped out at 1:48 a.m. and firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul. Firefighters from Stations 74, 30, 15, 31, 64, 12, 13, 34, 39, 58, 63, 67, 11, 6, 84 and HazMat responded to this incident. The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the displaced residents.
