Apartment Fire in Fairbanks / Northwest Crossing Area

Firefighters arrived on scene with the residents directing to them to the unit on fire. The crews entered the apartment and found a light haze. Upon opening the bathroom door thicker smoke was present and a small fire was in the vent fan. The crew quickly extinguished it and pulled ceiling to check for extension, finding none. Crews helped to ventilate the unit with a fan and turned the breaker off that powered the bathroom. Crews from Station 4 responded to this incident.
